A music video to the song TrinkenTroll by TrollfesT from the album Brumlebassen.

I teamed up with Oddbjørn Hofseth again on this video. We wanted to have a video that wasn’t a band-performance video for a change, without making too much of a “short story” out of it. So the idea of us hanging out at a pub came up. Shouldn’t be too hard of a role to act in for us we thought, I guess it became more difficult to not get too carried away in the roles as drunkards. The pub “Unholy” in Oslo and bartender Kai was kind enough to let us use their place as a location, and then we just invited friends and fans to be barguests. The budget for the video was 0,- as we didn’t have to rent any equipment, but if you take the money spent on beer into consideration, this might have been the most expensive music video for us so far after all.

A Lyric video for the song “Illsint” by Trollfest, from the album “Brumlebassen”.

The video is made up of the artwork for the album. The drawings are again made by the awesome artist Jonas Darnell (creator of the Swedish cartoon “Herman Hedning”) and the album layout is created by “The Terje” as always. The promo photos are taken by Vegard Haave.
This is the first song that was put out from the “Brumlebassen” album and it’s about the time “Grublegjøken” went out for a walk in the forest. He heard a lot of humming and assumed it was a great big beehive, but it turned out to be a furious wasp pumped up on steroids.

A music video to the song ”Karve” by TrollfesT

I had wanted to make a music video shot entirely on super 8 for a long time, so when we decided on “Karve” and a summerly backyard-concert theme to the video, I thought it was time to finally try it out. So we invited friends and fans to a barbeque-party and crossed our fingers that the weather would be nice. Fortunately it was, so we filmed a little, drank some beers, ate a few hot dogs, filmed some more, drank some more, and generally had a good time. Thanks to everyone who showed up and participated in the video!
As it was difficult to film and be in front of the camera simultaneously, Andrea Chirulescu helped out and did some of the filming for me.

Music video to the song ”Die Verdammte Hungersnot” by TrollfesT

The final video in the weekly series of TrollfesT videos in the month before the release of the album “En Kvest for den Hellige Gral”. This one is a music video comprised of live clips that was filmed during our December tour in 2010. The footage is mainly taken from the show at the Rock In pub in Oslo (filmed by Oddbjørn Hofseth) and the HSK in Cottbus, Germany (filmed by Shandy Mckay), but there’s also footage from the shows in Eisenberg, Berlin, Freiberg and Egelsee (filmed by Birger and Shandy)

Sarkom – Inferior Bleeding

This is a music video to the song “Inferior Bleeding” by Sarkom, taken from the album Bestial Supremacy.

I did this one together with my friend Oddbjørn Hofseth who helped me out with the photography and lighting. We borrowed a professional DV camera, rented lights, and got Martin Storm-Olsen to come a long as our production assistant, so compared to my previous videos it had pretty high production value (although I guess one hundred Euros is still categorized as low budget). Sarkom came up with the idea for the video after Erik had been at an old war bunker in Mysen, and luckily the people who worked there were nice enough to let us use it after hours. Of course we conveniently forgot to mention that we were going to set fire to two huge inverted crosses, which actually turned out to be a hell of a lot harder than you would think. First we smeared them in with flammable liquid, but that only gave them a hardly visible flame on the surface. Then we mixed it with coal, but that was just as pathetic. After a while, someone got the idea of just splashing the liquid onto the small flames, creating a huge fireball. Finally! So we filmed the last shot with martin standing just outside the frame spraying the fluid continuously until we ran out and the room was completely filled with smoke.

Low budget catering

-The “destroyed tape” effect on the video was created with a good old VHS-player

A music video to the song “True Heroes of Steel” By Powersword. Taken from the demo “Tale of the powersword” from 2005

When powersword put out their demo “Tale of the Powersword” featuring the songs “Pride and Glory”, “Metal Warrior” and “True Heroes of Steel” in 2005 it became an instant party favorite. At least in my circuits. And it was during one of these parties the idea of making an 80’s inspired music video to the song was born. A week later we were out shopping for tights, and the rest is power metal history.

No fake mustaches was used in this video
